Overview

Moko̠ Alës Kez was founded durring the early 11th century, by Garí Pizai hrd Tawerettenru hrd Teti Wudush. The establishment of Moko̠ Alës Kez was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Moko̠ Alës Kez's construction back out of the project. Garí Pizai hrd Tawerettenru hrd Teti Wudush pushed on reguardles, and Moko̠ Alës Kez was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Moko̠ Alës Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Moko̠ Alës Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Moko̠ Alës Kez is is constructed arround a series of broad flagstone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. The town's cost-cutting-focused defences have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

A look around Moko̠ Alës Kez has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine which makes you worry someone might stab you in a dark ally for your boots. It’s not filthy, or dark, but the smiles seem strained, the locals seem to glare daggers in eachothers backs a little too much, and everyone is armed at all times. You may want to keep an eye on your valuables, and make sure you don’t wind up in any position of power. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Moko̠ Alës Kez long.

Cultural Notes

The locals are in a state of despair and dull apathy. They've lost the things that used to give them pride and hope, with the best among them carrying on out of habitual duty and the worst giving ready hands to shameful deeds and ignoble acts. No one really believes the future can be better, and most seek only to satisfy immediate appetites.

Moko̠ Alës Kez's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

In Moko̠ Alës Kez during thunderstorms, with each flash of lightning, everyone sees different monsters from the corner of their eyes.

The Sandman near Moko̠ Alës Kez are known to be quite timid.

Moko̠ Alës Kez's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves sacrificing an animal to channel Abjuration energies of tier 2 via singing.
